Sevenoaks District has 13 Scout Troops in 10 Groups spread across the area.

The Scout section offeres a varied programme of activities and encourages young people to start tackling more challenging activities. It also teaches the young people to be able to look after themselves and towards the end of their time in Scouts to start leading other people.

    Five Scouts from Sevenoaks their parents and supporting leaders went along on the 3rd of June to Lower Grange, Kent's Headquarters, to receive their Chief Scout Gold Award. Dean Harding, the County Commissioner, and a Regional representative awarded  33 awards to scouts from 9 Kent Districts. In his opening talk Dean said that only one in ten Scouts achieve this award and this demonstrated  the level of commitment that the young people had put in.
