21st World Scout Jamboree

On Thursday 26th July, Scouts and Explorers from across the UK will be descending on Hylands Park in Chelmsford, Essex for the 21st World Scout Jamboree. Kent will be sending 120 young people and 14 leaders (7 of which are from the Sevenoaks District) to represent the County and UK. A further 8 Explorers/Leaders from the District are also going to the Jamboree as staff, joining 10,000 other adults from around the world!

After the UK participants have arrived they will be joined by Scouts from all but 4 countries from around the world (220 countries) for 10 days. In total almost 45,000 people will be onsite making it the largest youth event in history.

The ‘Kent Contingent’ is made up of young people from across Kent and have spent the last 18 months preparing for this opportunity of a lifetime, through a series of camps, fundraising and team building opportunities.
